TRANSCRIPT: Five Minute Fix Bite-sized Guided Meditations with Stacey Paige - Episode #12: Operate from desire, not will

Operating from will is forceful and exhausting. Driven by external pressures and expectations, it is the path to illness, burnout and depression. Unlike when we operate from desire, that gentle magnetic pull towards what resonates with your soul. Here we tap into a natural flow of inspiration, motivation and joy. Synchronicities abound as you align with a purposeful, fulfilling path. Let's connect! “Hi, I'm Stacey Paige, welcome to the Five Minute Fix podcast, weekly meditations to soothe, heal, and inspire.

This week's Five Minute Fix meditation is to foster and nurture operating from desire versus operating from will. Desire is that gentle magnetic pull towards what truly resonates with your soul. You're moved from within, unlike operating from will, which is forceful, driven by external pressures and expectations, doing what you think you should do, rather than what you feel called to do.

Disease, dis-ease, stems from operating from will, grinding through your days, leading to burnout, illness, depression. Whereas operating from desire taps into a natural flow of inspiration, and motivation, and joy, synchronicities occur as you align with a purposeful, fulfilling path. Let's move into the meditation.

Come into a comfortable, seated position. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in.

As you exhale, allow yourself to fully arrive in this moment.

Continue to focus on your breath, inhaling deeply through your nose, and exhaling slowly through your mouth.

As you inhale through your nose, feel your belly expand.

As you slowly exhale from your mouth, feel any tension in your body melt away.

Bring your awareness to your heart center. Imagine a warm, glowing light emanating from your heart.

With each breath, feel this light growing stronger, filling your entire being with a sense of peace and love.

Reflect on the word desire.

Notice how it feels in your body.

Maybe there's a sense of openness in your heart.

Excitement in your belly. Heat in your solar plexus. A gentle magnetic pull within.

Now, contrast this feeling with will. How does this feel in your body? Maybe you feel tension or tightness in your jaw or your chest.

Perhaps a sense of force or pushing.

Let's listen. Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a beautiful, serene lake.

The water is still, reflecting the sky above.

In the stillness of the water, see your deepest desires begin to surface.

What do you truly long for? What brings you joy and fulfillment? Allow these desires to rise naturally without forcing or judging them.

Simply observe and embrace them.

As you acknowledge your true desires, release any need to control or force outcomes. Trust that your desires are guiding you “Trust that your desires are guiding you towards your highest good.

Now imagine yourself moving effortlessly towards your desires, like a river flowing towards the sea.

There's no need to push or struggle, but rather relax into the flow.

Feel the grace and ease of this movement, knowing that the universe is always supporting your desires, and your inner wisdom is always guiding you. Thank you.

Knowing that you can return to this space of awareness, of flow and trust whenever you need, gently begin to deepen your breath, grounding yourself in the present moment. When you're ready, gently open your eyes.

Carry this sense of alignment and ease with you, knowing that your true desires will always lead you on the right path. Namaste. Namaste.”
