Breaking the Cycle: The Truth About Why Patterns Repeat |The Law of Change

At first, you think it's just life being life.
Weird deja vu.
A coincidence.
Another version of the same old drama.
But if we’re paying attention, we start to recognize it:
That familiar ache.
That same argument, just with a different face.
That loop we thought we’d left behind.
Maybe it’s a relationship that mirrors the last one—different person, same disconnection.
Maybe you change jobs, only to find yourself once again overworked and undervalued.
Maybe you swear you’ll stick to a new habit this time… and by day three, you’re back where you started.
When we find ourselves asking, “Why does this keep happening?” it’s easy to think we’re being tested.
But the truth is, the Universe isn’t testing you. It’s reflecting you.

Enter the Law of Change—the 10th law of karma—which tells us:
History will repeat itself until we learn the lessons we need to change our path.
Life will keep presenting us with the same kinds of situations, emotions, and dynamics—not to punish us, but to show us what we haven’t healed yet.
What we haven’t outgrown. What we’re still unconsciously choosing.
And once we see the pattern clearly, we gain power.
Not the kind of power that controls everything, but the kind that allows us to respond differently. To interrupt the loop. To write a new story.
Because real change doesn’t start “out there.”
It starts within.
It starts when you begin to question the belief that you’re unworthy.
When you stop abandoning your voice to keep the peace. When you start choosing differently—before life forces you to.
Sometimes, yes, life has to knock us over to wake us up.
The discomfort builds.
The signs get louder.
Until there’s a moment—a crisis, a collapse, a heartbreak—that cracks everything open.
Maybe you’ve been hanging on to a relationship that’s lost its depth, telling yourself it’ll get better, avoiding the hard conversations.
Until suddenly… it breaks. And you’re on your knees.
But from that place, something begins to shift. Because you’re no longer in denial. You’re no longer in avoidance. You’re in truth.
And in truth, there’s always the possibility of healing.
Not all change is dramatic. We can implement shifts in our life that let us address the whispers and nudges, before they become wrecking balls.
And one day, you realize: you’re not the same version of yourself anymore.
Every time you do something differently, you’re sending a message—to yourself and to the Universe: “I’m done with that story. I’m choosing a new one.”
The Law of Change invites us to ask:
What pattern am I ready to stop repeating?
And who do I get to become when I do?
Tools to Work With the Law of Change
🪞 1. Practice Inner Honesty
Instead of asking, “Why does this keep happening to me?” try asking,
“What is this trying to show me about me?”
No judgment. Just curiosity. Awareness is the gateway to transformation.
🧭 2. Choose a New Way Forward
You don’t need to know all the answers. Just choose one thing to do differently. One step. One response. One new belief to practice.
That’s how the old story begins to dissolve.
💬 Try this affirmation:
“This moment holds the power to shift everything.”
Say it when you feel stuck. Say it when you’re about to repeat an old pattern. Say it when you need a reminder that your future is still unwritten.
.✨ Meditate with this guided meditation I created for you:
This calming, powerful practice will help you recognize your patterns, reconnect with your truth, and begin to shift your energy in a way that opens you to something new.
💌 And if you know someone who’s feeling stuck, please forward this along. It might be exactly what they need to hear today.
Change can be hard. It can be scary.
But it’s also one of the most liberating and healing things we can do.
Because you’re not stuck. You’re standing at the edge of a different path.
And all you have to do… is take one step.
